Bessemer man shot to death, suspect arrested

BESSEMER, Ala. (WBRC) - Bessemer police are investigating the shooting death of a 20-year-old man.

The victim has been identified as Saveon Th’Marcus Washington of Bessemer.

Police say he was shot and killed around 5:40 p.m. Tuesday in the 1800 block of Long 14th Street North.

Detectives have signed a murder warrant for the homicide. Police say 19-year-old Glenn’Darrius Robinson is charged with the murder of Washington.

Robinson surrendered to the Jefferson County Jail on Monday, March 22. He is out on a $150,000 bond.
