BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - Birmingham Police need help identifying the man who shot a store clerk Monday night during a robbery.

Police were called to the Korner Kupboard located in the 400 block of Lawson Road just after 8 p.m.

When they arrived, they found a victim suffering a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

Officers say the suspect entered the store and held the store clerk at gunpoint. The suspect then demanded money from the register and got an unknown amount of cash.

During the robbery the clerk appeared to fight back. Officers said the suspect shot the clerk and ran.

The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

The preliminary investigation indicates the suspect arrived at the store in a white sedan with tinted windows. The white sedan left the location when the suspect entered the store.
