Tuscaloosa County inmate recaptured more than a month later

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WBRC) - A 52-year-old man is back in custody after Alabama Department of Corrections investigators said he escaped from custody of the medical furlough program in Tuscaloosa County.

Tommy Jordon Mims, incarcerated for aggravated stalking, escaped January 5, 2021.

Investigators said he was recaptured on February 21, 2021. Officers said Mims surrendered in Tuscaloosa to Tuscaloosa PD.
