Over 400 vaccinations for group 1A, 1B administered in Gadsden

GADSDEN, Ala. (WBRC) - Over 400 people received a COVID-19 vaccine Thursday in Etowah County.

Gadsden/Etowah EMA media liaison Breonna Cole said the vaccines were administered at the Venue in Gadsden.

Thursday’s clinic was for Phase 1A eligible candidates including health workers and some folks from the 1B category which included emergency responders, some teachers and some people over age 75 who have underlying health conditions.

Health care staff ran out of vaccine around 10:00 a.m. Thursday.

The next vaccination clinic in Etowah County is TBA.
