Alabama football players take home six more national honors

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - Alabama football players were awarded six individual national awards Thursday evening at the ESPN College Football Awards Show.

The show was held virtually and five players were honored with the following awards:

Landon Dickerson received the Rimington Trophy, presented each year to the most outstanding center in the NCAA FBS.

Najee Harris received the Doak Walker Award, presented each year to the nation’s premier running back.

Mac Jones received the Davey O’Brien Award, presented each year to the nation’s best college quarterback.

Alex Leatherwood received the Outland Trophy, presented each year to the top interior lineman in college football.

DeVonta Smith received the Biletnikoff Award, presented annually to the top pass-catcher in college football, and the Maxwell Award, presented each year to the top player in college football.
