BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - Alabama’s offense could return one of its top players for the College Football Playoff National Championship game against Ohio State on Monday.

Wide receiver Jaylen Waddle is back at practice this week after fracturing his right ankle against Tennessee in October. Although he didn’t make an appearance in Alabama’s practice video Wednesday, his teammates are raving about how good he looks.

“It’s amazing just to see him recover. I’m glad that he’s recovering well, and that everything is just going as planned,” said wide receiver and Heisman Trophy winner DeVonta Smith.

As far as if Waddle would play in the national title game, his teammates would not confirm.

“Yeah, he actually looked really good, but I don’t know if I can answer that question properly because you’ve got to ask Coach Saban and the training staff. But he’s worked really hard in his rehab, and we’ll see what happens,” said Tide quarterback Mac Jones.
