2 people arrested; charged with 6 counts of attempted murder after shooting in Homewood

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - Two men have been arrested and charged with attempted murder following a shooting in Homewood in November of this year.

According to police the incident started with an altercation between two groups of people at El Sol in Homewood in the early morning hours of November 27.

Shots were fired into a vehicle as it traveled along Oxmoor Rd. One woman was injured

22-year-old Richard Sowell Jr and 19-year-old Shannon Mallory Jr were arrested on Friday December 31 by Homewood Police with assistance from the US Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force.

Both are charged with 6 counts of attempted murder and were transferred to the Jefferson County, held on $360,000 bond.
