BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - Jefferson County recorded the highest number of COVID-19 deaths in months Wednesday.
The 33 deaths were acknowledged on Twitter by UAB infectious diseases doctor Jeanne Marrazzo, M.D., who reminded everyone to wear a mask.
The COVID-19 dashboard from the Alabama Department of Public Health has Jefferson County with 454 deaths since the pandemic began. Of those deaths, 432 are confirmed and 22 are probable. The ADPH reports the county has had 26,813 cases - 25,435 confirmed and 1,378 probable.
