Birmingham mayor declares Election Day a holiday

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - Birmingham Mayor Randall Woodfin has named Election Day as an official holiday for city employees.

City employees will have November 3rd and future Election Days, starting in 2024, off so they can vote.

Woodfin said now employees don’t have to worry about taking time off work to vote.
