UPDATE: Shooting of 22-year-old in Birmingham ruled justifiable homicide

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - UPDATE: The Birmingham Police Department reports detectives have received a justifiable homicide ruling in connection to the homicide investigation of 22-year-old Reginald Horn.

Horn was shot and killed on Saturday, September 12, 2020. Investigators presented the information gathered to the Jefferson County District Attorney’s office for review. Following the assessment, the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office ruled the actions justifiable. This investigation is reclassified as a Justified Death Investigation.

ORIGINAL: Birmingham police are investigating the shooting death of a 22-year-old man.

The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim as Reginald Horn.

Police said the deadly shooting happened Saturday afternoon in the 2000 block of 30th Avenue North.

No arrests have been made.
