An economic boost of new business in Fairfield, could bring hundreds of jobs

FAIRFIELD, Ala. (WBRC) - A huge economic boost for Fairfield as city leaders welcome a new business to the area.

Dansby Foods Center bought the old Walmart Supercenter on Aaron Aronov Drive, and they will turn it into a food distribution center.

The Walmart closed in January 2016.

The new distribution center is supposed to bring 300-400 jobs to Fairfield.
