Fultondale man drowns at Mtn. Brook’s Road River Run Park

MOUNTAIN BROOK, Ala. (WBRC) - A Fultondale man died Thursday evening at Grandview Medical Center after an incident at River Run Park.
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office says 41-year-old Donald Kintrell Robinson was wading in the Cahaba River while watching family members swim. He reported was attempting to help a relative who was drifting away in the water current when he went underwater for approximately 3 minutes.
Authorities received the call around 4:29 p.m. and were able to rescue Robinson. He was taken to Grandview Medical Center where he died an hour later.
