Tuscaloosa battling severe flooding

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WBRC) - Severe weather hit part of Tuscaloosa late Tuesday night and the effects continue Wednesday morning.

Severe flood occurred on U.S. 82/McFarland Blvd. and 37th St/James I Harrison Jr Pkwy., according to ALGO Tuscaloosa.

Tuscaloosa Mayor Walt Maddox addressed the situation on Twitter:

Maddox said the area is passable, but asks passengers to proceed with caution.
