72-year-old man identified as victim in Birmingham’s 14th homicide of 2020
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - Birmingham police are investigating its 14th homicide of the year.
The fatal shooting happened just before 10 p.m. Tuesday in the 900 block of 47th Street North.
Police say the shooting was reported by ShotSpotter. The victim died before responding officers arrived on the scene and was found next to an apartment building.
The victim has been identified as 72-year-old Gussie Lee Tyus.
Police say not released any information of possible suspects. A motive has not been established.
