TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WBRC) - Tuscaloosa police have arrested a 17-year-old in connection with a shooting Friday morning.

Kentavious Thompson is charged with attempted murder. Due to the use of a deadly weapon, Thompson will be charged as an adult.

The shooting happened at the intersection of 20th Street and Dinah Washington Avenue. Police say the victim and Thompson had been arguing over the past week and Thompson shot the unarmed victim as he walking along the road.

Officers say the victim is expected to survive.
