PINSON, Ala. (WBRC) - UPDATE: Pinson Valley High School is proud to announce that Coach Sam Shade has been chosen to lead the Indians Football program, as well as, the school’s athletic department.
“I am excited about being the new head football coach here at Pinson Valley High School. It is a great opportunity for me. There is a winning tradition and culture of excellence that has been established here at Pinson Valley that myself, the players, the coaches, the school, and the community look forward to working on continuing,” said Shade.
ORIGINAL: Pinson Valley High School’s principal has confirmed Sam Shade will be the new head football coach.
Shade played for Alabama in the 1990′s. He was drafted into the NFL in 1995 and he played for the Cincinnati Bengals and Washington Redskins.
Shade was hired as an assistant for the Cleveland Browns in 2018.
Shade’s hiring will have to be approved by the Jefferson County School board.
