Serious commercial truck accident on I-22 near Graysville

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - State troopers are investigating a commercial vehicle crash on I-22 at the 89 mile marker. This is a serious injury crash involving only commercial vehicle.

The driver was airlifted to UAB, but we do not know the driver’s condition.

Troopers say the driver ran off the road into the median and struck the guardrail and the bridge column.

Traffic is being diverted at the 89 exit in both directions.

This is near the Graysville area.

This accident has traffic backed up for miles.

The truck was transporting chicken livers.
