UPDATE: Suspect identified in shooting death of man at B’ham nightclub

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - Police have identified a suspect in the shooting death of a man outside a nightclub back in January.

44-year-old Lathedrick Miles is accused of murdering 21-year-old Travars Wages.

A murder warrant has been obtained against Miles. He will be transferred to the Jefferson County Jail.

Police say Wages died February 12 from injures suffered in a shooting on January 30 at the Wages Social Club on Pearson Ave.

The shooting happened around 2:30 a.m. Police say responding officers found the victim lying on his side in the parking lot with a gunshot wound to the chest. Investigators learned the victim walked outside and was shot.

Wages was transported to UAB Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries two weeks after the shooting.
