SHELBY COUNTY, Ala. (WBRC) - A Shelby County couple accused of holding their adopted son captive in their home and starving him plead guilty to felony child abuse on Tuesday.
Helena investigators call the case involving Cynthia and Richard Kelly one of the worst they’ve ever seen.
The couple was set to go to trial later this month, but now face sentencing in February.
