Coroner’s office identifies two people found shot to death near I-59/20 in Bessemer

BESSEMER, Ala. (WBRC) - Authorities in Bessemer confirm two people were found shot to death near Interstate 59/20 Thursday afternoon.

On Friday morning, Jefferson County Coroner Bill Yates identified 22-year-old Jekeria Jaquay Osborn and 27-year-old Dandre Jamal Paige have been as the victims. Paige was found in the passenger seat and Osborn was in the intersection.

Bessemer Police arrived at a scene on Alabama Adventure Parkway around 4:30 p.m. where they found the man and woman suffering gunshot wounds. Both victims were pronounced on the scene at 4:33.

The Coroner’s Office say it is believed the incident happened between I-59/20 and Dolonah Road on Splash Adventure Parkway, very close to the exit ramp.
