Pedestrian struck, killed by vehicle on Hwy 280

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - A man was hit and killed Saturday night while walking along an intersection of Hwy 280 and County Rd. 62 in Harpersville.
According to Harpersville Police Chief Jimmy Macon, they do not believe the driver could have prevented hitting the pedestrian.
No charges are being filed.
