Homewood HS student arrested after brandishing pellet gun while driving

HOMEWOOD, Ala. (WBRC) - Homewood police are investigating after a second student was arrested for showing a soft pellet gun to a driver Thursday morning.

Police say 18-year-old Roy Vandentop Streiff was arrested and charged with menacing.

Officers say Streiff was driving on Highway 31 when he tried to merge into the other lane.

When he was not allowed to get over, police say he showed his pellet gun to the other driver.

Streiff was taken into custody at Homewood High School.

He is being held on a $500 bond.
