A Bessemer mission to give adults a second chance in the workforce

New partnership between city of Bessemer, Lawson State

BESSEMER, Ala. (WBRC) - Bessemer city leaders are on a mission to give people a second chance with a program called “Operation Arrested but Corrected”.

It’s the first of its kind partnership between Lawson State Community College Adult Education Program and Bessemer Municipal court.

The program hosts five weeks of classes for those interested in construction.

Each student gets a bag filled with the tools they need to take on the workforce.
