BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - It’s the middle of September and Birmingham Fire and Rescue crews are still responding to heat related calls.
That’s not surprising with the near record temperatures we’ve been experiencing.
"We kind of run into this every summer. But you know, the heat is definitely a factor but it’s something that can be prevented. The heat related illnesses can be prevented if people would kind of follow some precautions,” said Sebastian Carrillo, Birmingham Fire Battalion Chief.
