TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WBRC) - Tuscaloosa police are investigating a shooting that left one man dead.
The shooting occurred in the 2500 block of 48th Place East around 4 p.m. on Monday.
Authorities say that the shooting stemmed from a domestic dispute between 28-year-old Richard Earl Jenkins Jr. and 29-year-old Sheneka Hoskins. The argument was over who owned a handgun.
According to police, the argument became heated and the two fought over the handgun. The handgun discharged striking Jenkins in the head.
Investigators have determined that Hoskins was the aggressor and that she caused the death of Jenkins. Hoskins has been charged with Manslaughter and is currently being held on a $30,000 bond.
