BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - A juvenile suspect has been arrested after a chase Tuesday that ended in Homewood.
The incident began Tuesday afternoon when Tarrant Police said they observed a car idling close to Tarrant Elementary School.
Officers ran the license plate and found out the car was stolen out of Shelby County.
Police said they tried to pull the car over and a chase began. Homewood Police joined in the chase on Oxmoor Road.
The chase ended in the Palisades area when the suspect crashed.
The suspect’s identity will not be released by police because he is a 16-year-old juvenile. He is facing multiple charges including certain persons forbidden to possess a firearm, felony attempting to elude, receiving stolen property, and felony leaving the scene of an accident.
Additional charges are pending.
We’re also told he has outstanding warrants in Florida so he will be extradited after he faces charges in Alabama.
