Tuscaloosa man shot, killed by stray bullet while sleeping

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WBRC) - Two men have been charged with felony murder after a Tuscaloosa man was struck and killed by a stray bullet while sleeping in his apartment.

24-year-old Anthony Killings was found dead in his bed Tuesday night in the Parker 301 Apartments Complex.

Authorities determined Killings death was the result of an incident that had occurred in the apartment complex late Sunday night into early Monday morning.

Around 2:00 a.m. Monday morning, authorities responded to a shooting where two people claimed to have been robbed after leaving a party. Multiple shell casings were found in the area. Neither of the two victim’s injuries were life threatening.

Killings was killed by a single bullet that had penetrated the outside wall of his apartment and struck him in his sleep. Authorities say, based on the area and knowledge of previous incident, it became apparent that the round that struck and killed Killings was a result of the shooting Sunday night.

22-year old Krisshod K’tyse La’Nard Fritz and 23-year-old Demarlio Wayshawn Robertson have been charged with Murder as the result of firing firearms in the commission of a robbery.

Both suspects are in custody.
