HOOVER, Ala. (WBRC) - Crews from the Hoover Fire Department battled an apartment fire in Hoover Tuesday morning for about 30 minutes.

The fire started in a building at the Hawthorne at Wisteria complex on Regal Circle in Hoover. The building was empty but not vacant, and there were no injuries reported.

Captain Scott West said heavy fire was showing at the building and there were four engines, ladder, rescue and rehab and multiple administrative staff used to extinguish the fire.

Officials from the Red Cross say they’re going to the scene to assist any residents that may be displaced because of the fire.
