Second suspect arrested after Helena carjacking Monday

HELENA, Ala. (WBRC) - Helena police have arrested the second suspect after a car was stolen at gunpoint Monday afternoon.

Helena police took 20-year-old Montrey Cave into custody in Alabaster on Wednesday. He is charged with one count of first-degree robbery and one count of first-degree theft of property.

Prior to Cave’s arrest Monday, investigators obtained warrants on Baylee Anne Wood, 19, for first-degree robbery and first-degree theft of property. Police say Wood was the driver of the Jeep Cherokee in the robbery that happened at the Marathon gas station on Highway 52.

The silver Jeep Wood was driving has also been located, according to Helena police.
