Car crashes into Center Point pool

CENTER POINT, Ala. (WBRC) - Jefferson County deputies are investigating what led to a vehicle crashing into a residential pool overnight.

Authorities say the vehicle, a blue BMW SUV, was found lying on its side in a pool in the backyard of a residence in the 1600 block of Old Springville Road.

The driver drove through the front yard, hit the homeowner’s truck and went through a wooden fence before landing in the backyard pool. The driver left the scene but has been located and is on the scene Thursday morning.

The homeowner said he heard something early in the morning but did not find the vehicle until daylight hours.
