BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - We sat down last week with two pitchers from the Birmingham Barons to discuss baseball, moving, and coming to the south.
Jimmy Lambert and Bernardo Flores both joined the Birmingham Barons in 2018. But don’t let that fool you, this isn’t the first time they’ve been on the same bench.
This is the second time the two pitchers have been moved together since joining the White Sox. They both played in Kansas and North Carolina before making it to the Magic City.
Their history goes back farther than their time together in the minors. The two went to high school not far from each other in California.
They also talked about what it was like playing at the historic Rickwood field.
When asked about what southern phrase stuck out... well you can see for yourself.
They also talked about what it was like playing at Regions Field. Regions Field has the highest attendance in the league.
