BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - A teenager was killed in a car wreck on I-65 late Monday night.

Jefferson County Coroner Bill Yates says 17-year-old Hayden Alexander Perry, of Hoover, died after her vehicle hit a light pole near the Daniel Payne exit on I-65 South.

The light pole fell into the interstate and at least five or six other cars hit the pole in the roadway. There were no additional injuries, authorities say.

Lanes were shut down for an hour and a half.
