TUSCALOOSA, AL (WBRC) - The non-profit group called Tuscaloosa Angels is having a foster care awareness month meeting at University Church of Christ Tuesday at 6 p.m.
Tuscaloosa Angels helps connect the community to children and families in the foster care system. The non-profit is working with churches and other local groups in Tuscaloosa to make sure foster parents get the help and services they need to better take care of their foster children.
Tuscaloosa Angels hosts several informational meetings a month and provides support for parents and children growing up in the foster system.
The group said there are more than 400,000 children in foster care in the U.S.
