24-year-old JeffCo inmate found dead in cell

JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL (WBRC) - A 24-year-old inmate at Jefferson County Jail was found dead in her cell on Thursday.
Authorities say Haley Marie Estis was found unresponsive at approximately 7:14 a.m. The staff tried to revive her until she was confirmed to have no vital signs by paramedics.
The cause of death will be determined by the Jefferson County Coroner. Authorities say she was alone in her cell and last seen alive at 6:50 a.m.
