BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) - Considering high temperatures on Monday reached the upper 80s, we will experience quite the drop in temperatures tonight, with lows in the upper 50s and low 60s. The sky will remain mostly clear.
I would plan on another very hot day for Tuesday, with highs nearing 90 in a few locations. We will have a light south wind that will help with comfort levels. Also, don’t forget the sunscreen as the sky will remain mostly sunny. The latest UV Index indicates sunburn could happen in less than 15 minutes.
THE REST OF THE WEEK: We will continue to experience periods of sunny weather through Wednesday and Thursday however isolated storms and showers will be possible both days. The chance for scattered storms will be even higher for Friday and Saturday as another cold front moves into the region and stalls. Right now I do not expect any organized severe weather but a strong storm with frequent lightning can’t be ruled out. The chance for scattered development will be lingering through the weekend and into the first part of next week.
