TUSCALOOSA COUNTY, AL (WBRC) - The damage to Tarron Tull’s home is painful and plain to see.

“It’s a tragedy. I hate it cause it’s our home,” the Sipsey Valley High School junior said.

During Thursday’s severe storms, part of a radio tower behind his family’s mobile home broke off as storms passed through Tuscaloosa County. The tower split it in two and caused damage throughout the structure.

“They went down the driveway and when they pulled off and they looked back and they seen it fall through,” Tull said.

His mother and others were in a car in the driveway watching the radio tower sway in the wind. They shot cell phone video showing when the tower began breaking apart and hitting the trailer.

It was their home for more than a year. But with this much damage, they can’t live here any longer.

”Instantly it made me want to start tearing up because I just worried about my family," Tull said.

We learned late Friday that the landlord of the property has taken down the rest of the radio tower. He has also offered to help the family find a temporary place to stay.
