The Mustang muscle car lives on in Odenville, Alabama

ODENVILLE, AL (WBRC) - The Mustang Museum of America is dedicated to the celebration, preservation, education and display of the Ford Mustang. It opened its doors in March of 2019 in Odenville, Alabama.

“This place has been in the works for five or six years,” said Co-Founder of the Mustang Museum of America Bob Powell. “The goal of the Mustang Museum is to provide a memorable visit through the life of the iconic Mustang with a display of Mustang vehicles of nearly every year and generation produced, many special models, and also display Mustang memorabilia relevant to its history.”

Fifty-five years ago, the iconic car was first manufactured by Ford, and since then more than 10 million have been made as the Mustang has lasted longer than most muscle cars.

The museum is open five days a week from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. It’s closed Tuesday and Wednesday. It is located at 49 Forman Ford Road, Odenville, AL 35210, phone number is 205-773-9170.
