U.S. Attorney: Bradford shooting remains under federal review by DOJ
Emantic Bradford Jr. has been identified as the 21-year-old man shot and killed by Hoover police during a shooting at Riverchase Galleria on Thanksgiving.

BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) - In a statement obtained Friday night, U.S. Attorney Jay Town says the shooting of E.J. Bradford by a Hoover police officer is still under review by the Department of Justice.

The statement from Town: “This matter has been, and continues to be, under review by various civil rights components within the Department of Justice since these events occurred. The recent release of a 10-week investigation by the State of Alabama is now a part of that review by those components. Any further comment would be inappropriate at this time.”

A report was released Tuesday by Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall. The AG’s investigation cleared a Hoover police officer who shot and killed Bradford at the Riverchase Gallera on Thanksgiving night amidst an altercation that saw 18-year-old Brian Wilson and 12-year-old Molly Davis shot.
