BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) - Temperatures again are going to be frigid tonight. We’re expecting overnight lows to bottom out in the lower 20s in parts of North Alabama. Closer to Birmingham, the temperatures will fall to around 28 by early Friday. Expect a mostly clear sky with little to no frost.
Temperatures will warm with the help of some sunshine during the afternoon with highs around 50. We'll see increasing clouds during the late afternoon and evening. The rain will remain to our west during the evening with the small chance for showers after midnight. Expect morning lows Saturday around 37. This system will bring snowfall to parts of Missouri, Arkansas, and the Ohio Valley.
First Alert: Expect rain to return Saturday with the best chance for rain after lunch. Rain chances will be around 60-percent with temperatures in the lower 50s. The rain will become more widespread after 4 p.m. and continue through the evening hours. Fortunately, this will just be a rainmaker with no severe weather in the forecast. The rain chances will be much lower on Sunday.
