SAN JOSE, CA (WBRC) - Some outlets have reported hundreds of Tua Tagovailoa’s family members will be at Levi’s Stadium for Monday’s CFP National Championship Game.
However, when asked at CFP Media Day on Saturday, the first-year Alabama quarterback said he couldn’t confirm a number.
“I don’t know,” he said. “I couldn’t answer that truthfully."
Tagovailoa’s Polynesian culture is family-based, and the Heisman runner-up said he is grateful for the support his family provides.
“Some of the guys on our team don’t even have family members coming to support them so I’m grateful," he said.
Alabama and Clemson kick off at 7 p.m.
