BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) - Happy Friday! We have seen a good soaking rain across Central Alabama overnight. The rain continues to move to the east-northeast. Good news is that the main round of steady to moderate rain has ended for the majority of our area. Only spots seeing rain is in the eastern half of the state. Many of us will dry out by 9-10am with only an isolated shower possible as we go into the afternoon hours. The big story today is the cooler temperatures behind this system. Our high temperature will likely occur before 9am in the upper 50s to near 60°F. By this afternoon, temperatures will likely drop into the upper 40s and lower 50s. You'll definitely need the jacket today. Winds will continue out of the West-Southwest at 10-20 mph with gusts near 30 mph.
