All Around Town Catering: Tom Yum Soup


1/2 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 quart chicken or vegetable stock

1 tablespoon tom yum paste

1 tablespoon lemongrass

1 tablespoon sliced ginger

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 tablespoon shredded lime

2 tablespoon lime juice

1 jalepeno pepper (seeded and diced)

1 cup mushrooms

2 teaspoons brown sugar

1 teaspoon thai curry

handful of cilantro


Bring stock to a boil and add all ingredients (except cilantro). reduce heat. simmer for about 5 minutes. garnish with cilantro
