CLANTON, AL (WSFA) - Christmas at the Britnell house in Clanton got a very unexpected surprise that will make the holidays much brighter.
Mom Tracy Britnell had no idea a camera was rolling when her family pulled one over on her.
“I knew you were being all weird,” you could hear her say as she was escorted through the living room, still clueless about what was planned.
“Right here under the tree,” others said as she peered around the corner toward the Christmas presents. That’s when her son, who she didn’t expect to be home for the holidays, popped out and scared her. Amid a lot of laughter, there was a big hug.
Airman First Class Forest Chance Britnell, a Chilton County High School football quarterback and 2013 graduate , recently joined the U.S. Air Force and wasn’t expecting to deck the halls with family.
“He surprised me last night with the best Christmas ever,” mom admitted.
Britnell, an aerospace medic, will get to celebrate Christmas with family before leaving again on Jan. 2.
