1 person dies in Birmingham apartment fire

BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) - Birmingham firefighters say one person has died following an apartment fire in Birmingham Wednesday.
The fire happened on 19th Street and 11th Avenue South.
The victim’s name has not yet been released.
Firefighters say the complex did have working smoke detectors.
