TALLADEGA, AL (WBRC) - The observance of Veterans Day is this weekend but on the square in Talladega they celebrate the contributions of our nations' Veterans every day at The Hall Of Heroes.
The newest addition at the hall is an Honor Quilt. Kelly Love and other members of her family have stitched together the quilt remembering those who have gone before, centered around the only man from Talladega County to be killed in action in WW1.
Every patch tells a different story, over 100 years in the making.
“Having the Honor Quilt here has just been amazing,” says Kelly, “I'm glad to be a part of it and you can just look at it and see the labor of love that they put in it, and we here at the Hall Of Heroes Museum understand a labor of love for Veterans. That's what we're all about.”
It would be all but impossible to tell you about all the heroes represented at The Hall Of Heroes, but Kelly probably put it best; “They’re all heroes.”
