BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) - It was the coolest start since May and temperatures were actually below normal for the first time in a long time. It’s a perfect night to open the windows, have a campfire and enjoy some high school football! Tonight, temperatures will once again fall back into the 50s and 40s.
The weather looks terrific this weekend for all of the many events going on! Check out the forecast details through the WBRC First Alert Weather App. Temperatures will be refreshing in the morning and pleasant during the afternoon. Temperatures top off in the middle 70s on Saturday and lower 80s on Sunday. A warm front lifts through on Sunday and we will see partly sunny skies and a small shower chance in north Alabama on Sunday morning.
Next week we will see a spike in humidity and warmth on Monday and then a cold front moves through late Monday and seasonal air returns! I’m going with a 30% rain chance late on Monday, a 40% chance on Tuesday morning and a 20% chance on Wednesday.
TROPICAL UPDATE: The Atlantic remains unusually busy for October. Hurricane Leslie is over the mid-Atlantic and moving ENE at 33 mph with 85 mph winds and Tropical Storm Nadine in the Eastern Atlantic will weaken as it moves northwest through the weekend. Last but not least, we are watching a tropical wave in the Caribbean that has a 0% chance of development.
