Hodges' record-setting day leads Samford to 66-28 win

BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) - Devlin Hodges' name continues to find its way into the record books.

The Samford quarterback led the Bulldogs to 66-28 win against Western Carolina on Saturday and broke five records while doing it.

The Samford (2-4) quarterback threw for 562 yards on 44 of 60 passing. He added six touchdowns. Hodges connected with 11 different teammates.

His passing yards and total yards (586) set Samford and SoCon records, whole he also set school and SoCon records for TDs responsible (7) and tied the record for passing TDs (6). Hodges set a SoCon record for most 400-yard passing games (5).

Samford stays home next week and faces VMI at 2 p.m.
