Samford battles Florida State deep into 4th quarter, falls 36-26

TALLAHASSEE, FL (WBRC) - Samford was close to being one of the rare FCS teams to defeat a Power 5 program.
The Bulldogs fought Florida State deep into the fourth quarter, but ultimately came up short 36-26.
Samford led the entire game until a Florida State touchdown and 2-point conversation with 4:03 remaining gave the Noles a 29-26 advantage. Florida State then returned an interception for a touchdown on Samford’s ensuining drive to seal the win.
