HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

A Harvest man has been arrested after leaving the scene of crash that resulted in the death of a Huntsville woman.

The crash occurred 9:14 p.m. on Douglass Road, just under a mile north of Huntsville.

Alabama State Troopers say that Jalissa Roshell Garner, 25, was killed when the vehicle she was driving was struck head-on by another vehicle driven by Jose Sanchez, 34, of Harvest.

Garner was pronounced dead at the scene. She was reportedly not wearing her seat belt.

Sanchez left the scene uninjured. A State Trooper Traffic Homicide Investigator later located Sanchez and arrested him, charging him with leaving the scene of an accident. He was then placed into the Madison County Jail.

Troopers are continuing to investigate this accident.
