CALHOUN COUNTY, AL (WBRC) - Police say a man shot and killed his children and his daughter's fiancé before killing himself in White Plains on Thursday afternoon.
Calhoun County Coroner Pat Brown identified the suspect as Tony Parker.
Authorities identified the victims as 19-year-old Heather Parker, 20-year-old Brandon Roberts and 12-year-old Rusty Parker.
Police say deputies went to the home after receiving a phone call from Parker, saying he had killed people and was going to kill himself.
Deputies found two bodies in the front yard and one in the back yard, but not Parker.
After tracing the origin of the 911 call, Parker's location was traced to a nearby store.
Parker was found with at that location with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to police.
Police say Parker's children did not regularly live with him. Rusty commuted between his mother's home in Georgia and the homes of his sisters, so he could attend school in Alabama.
Parker and his wife separated in 2010. He made a suicide attempt, and a month later was arrested for violating a protection order taken out by his wife. He violated it by contacting her and saying "please come home," according to police.
The couple apparently got back together again then split up again.
Police say the two children and fiance went to Parker's home to deliver groceries for him, including dog food.
Authorities continue to investigate.
